WELLS RIVER- The Blue Mountain Varsity Boys celebrated Senior Night with a 56-35 victory over the visiting Twinfield Trojans. In the first quarter, the Bucks showed off their lockdown defense, holding the Trojans to 3 points. The Bucks put up 17 points after the first eight minutes of play. In the second frame, the Trojans were able to put up some offensive numbers, putting 12 points on the board. The Bucks kept their foot on the throttle putting up 15 points to make the score 32-15 going into halftime. Blue Mountain came into the 3rd quarter with the same intensity putting up 18 points while Twinfield had 10 points, extending the Bucks lead to 25 points with a score of 50-25. The Trojans were able to outscore the Bucks 10-6 in the 4th quarter but they were not able to overcome Blue Mountain’s early lead.  Junior Evan Dennis led the Bucks with 17 points, while Senior John Dennis was able to chip in with 9 points and Senior Tanner Winchester had 7. For Twinfield, Kerrick Medose and Neil Alexander had 11 points apiece. The Bucks jump to 14-4 and will travel to Oxbow on Saturday, for their final regular-season game. The Trojans finish their regular season at 7 wins and 11 losses.
