First Winter Storm Hits BMU
November 17, 2022
The first measurable snowstorm of the season hit BMU on Wednesday, November 16th. There were approximately 2.25 inches of accumulated snow on the BMU campus. Students reported multiple sightings of cars off the road in the area. According to Blue Mountain Drivers’ Education teacher Neil Emerson, “The first snowstorm of the year always seems to catch drivers off guard.” While Emerson did take students driving on Wednesday, he reported that “all traffic was moving slower than normal.”
Many students were observed having fun with the fresh snow on the playground. Some students were even seen throwing snowballs. In addition, the first snow of the season had much of the BMU student body excitedly talking about the upcoming snowmobile season.
