Morning announcements are back at Blue Mountain Union’s middle and high school. Junior Karli Blood reads the announcements each morning. “My hopes for the morning announcements are to start off the day with positive energy for the middle and high school, I believe that there is a lot of potential to have fun and get students engaged.” She also talks about her goals, “A goal for me is to eventually include elementary students to either give weather reports, jokes of the day, or fun facts.”

High school principal Emilie Knisley states, “When I was a teacher and a principal at BMU a few years ago, we always had students do the announcements. I think it is a nice way for the students to be involved in the school, and to be honest they are more interesting, too, if students are in charge of them! I hope to be able to have the elementary students take part in the announcements as well, by sharing some of the things they are learning about with high school. I am interested in other ideas that students have for the announcements to make them engaging and worthwhile.” The school is looking forward to hearing the announcements.
