WELLS RIVER-  On Thursday, February 9th, the 14-2 Bucks hosted the 9-7 Richford Rockets. The Bucks came out on top in the first quarter with a 9-point lead of 19-10, the Bucks kept their head in the game with a strong second quarter making the score 33-18 at halftime. In the third, the Bucks continued to play well, staying ahead 46-27.  After four quarters of play, the Bucks were on top 59-41 launching the Rockets home.

Sierve Derby led the Richford Rockets with 14 points, followed by Ky Deaso having 10 of her own, and Emma Fadden scoring 4. The Blue Mountain Bucks were led by Jordan Alley And Kyra Nelson both having 14 points each, and Keegan Tillotson was right behind them with 12.

Bucks’ Senior Lauren Joy expressed how she feels to be back on the court; “Going into the game against Richford the girls knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game for us to blow them out, and that we had to go out and work for the win.”  Joy continued, “I have been out of the game due to an injury for two weeks and I was honestly nervous to go back in. But this game was a fun game to play, and I believe we did well in most aspects during the game.” The Bucks travel to Hazen on February 11th, no doubt looking for revenge as the Bucks fell to the Hazen Wildcats 42-47 in a prior match-up.
