Lauren Joy is currently a senior at Blue Mountain. Lauren has attended BMU since kindergarten, and during her time she has been an active member of the community.  She participated in the band until her freshman year, has been in student council since 6th grade, and in the National Honors Society starting her junior year. Furthermore, Lauren has participated in varsity soccer, basketball, and softball throughout her career at BMU. The advice she would give to the younger generation is “focus on school work and get into activities in the school, these experiences will help keep you busy and you may not get the opportunities after high school that you will with the community at BMU.¨  Lauren plans to go into the nursing program at UVM and wants to be a Nurse Practitioner and work in a hospital.

Lauren wants to be remembered as “a positive person in this community, who inspired younger members to be more involved with extracurricular activities.”
