Early in the first quarter, the Bucks took the lead with freshman Addison Murray stepping up and draining a three from just beyond the arc. The Engineers responded with sophomore Mckayla Walker leading the way; scoring her first bucket off of a steal drawing the Engineers within five. Woodsville found their groove by the end of the first going up two to end the frame 9-7. The Engineers slammed the door on the Bucks not allowing a single point in the second quarter. Woodsville would head into halftime with a healthy lead of 19-7.

The Bucks would continue to close the gap until they ran into foul trouble with senior Felicity Sulham finding her 5th foul late into the 4th quarter. Woodsville found themselves at the foul line often in the 4th quarter, attempting 11 free throws and making 8. Woodsville sophomore Katie Houston put the game away for the Engineers converting on all 4 of her free throws. Senior Captain Jordan Alley commented, “I liked that as a team we were determined the whole game and kept pushing; we never gave up despite the score or mistakes we made. I think we could improve on the little things like fewer turnovers, sticking our shots, slowing down a little bit, and keeping our composure.” As the Bucks come up with the loss they drop to 2-2 on the season; the Engineers pick up yet another win and improve to 7-1.
