Wells River, VT – Blue Mountain hosts a 7-12 art showcase on Wednesday, May 15th. The showcase presented student work they made during their art class. Jennifer Dube is Blue Mountain’s 7-12 grade art teacher. Dube says, “Students from grades 7 to 12 showcased their independent and class artwork during the concert.” Each class explored a distinct theme: studio Art created papier-mâché statues, watercolor and the painting class worked on brush strokes and shading, 8th graders created dragon eyes, while 7th graders sculpted captivating artwork using tin foil. Dube also tells us about an upcoming first through sixth-grade art show on May 23rd. Dube days that her classes have been working on “some pieces that first grade has been working on are drawing pictures of monsters and giving them to highschoolers for them to bring to life with clay, third grade made Van Gogh flowers, fifth grade made greek pottery. That’s just a few of the pieces that my students have been working hard on.”
