Northfield VT – On May 30th the Paine Mountain Marauders hosted the Blue Mountain Bucks at Sabine Field. Blue Mountain would win the game with a score of 29-0. To start on the bump for Paine Mountain was Knapp who pitched 1.1 innings and gave up seven hits 14 runs and walked six batters Paine Mountain would then switch to Sweet who pitched one inning and gave up three hits 14 runs and walked seven batters . To close for Paine Mountain they had Keys, he pitched 2.2 innings and gave up four hits, one run, and walked four batters. The Bucks sent Brody Kingsbury to the mound who would give up one hit, zero runs, and zero batters walked. The Bucks would change there pitchers every inning going to Kason Blood who gave up one hit, zero runs and zero batters walked, then went to Will Emerson and gave up zero hits zero runs and one batter walked. Then Kris Fennimore came in who gave up zero hits, zero runs and one batter walked. To close, the Bucks had senior Cam Roy come in and he gave up one hit zero runs and one batter walked.
The Bucks were hot all game scoring 29 runs on 14 hits. The entire Blue Mountain lineup contributed having everyone score at least one run a piece. This was the end of Paine Mountain’s season as they will not be playing in the playoffs. After this game Blue Mountain will hold onto the one seed going 15-1 for the season and will play a quarter-final contest on Friday June 7th.
