River Woods has attended Blue Mountain Union School since the fourth grade. Woods enjoys crocheting, fostering cats, and playing The Sims. While their time at BMU has been stressful, Woods has found a strong, supportive friend group. Woods would like to be remembered as a helpful person who works hard. When asked to share advice for younger students, Woods said, “Don’t let things get to you[.] Sometimes it may seem like the world is going to end, but it will get better. Remember to take care of yourself and seek help if you need it.” Woods is currently in the Riverbend health science program and plans to pursue their BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) after high school. Once Woods completes their degree, they want to work as a Registered Nurse working in Labor and Delivery or Neonatal Care.

His extracurricular activities include: playing music in the high school band; engaging in community service with NJHS; and running for the cross country team. He plans to pursue engineering when he is out of high school. This is his first year working with BNN.
