Last night in Wells River, the Blue Mountain Bucks played host to the Oxbow Olympians, ultimately losing 6-2. Sophomore forward Lillian Degoosh started things off for the Olympians with a goal part way through the first half. The Olympians’ offense didn’t stop there, as sophomore forward, Sophia Hayes, was able to notch a goal with just 11 seconds remaining in the first half. To start things off in the second half, the Bucks scored a goal off the foot of sophomore forward Jordan Alley, putting the bucks within one. Not long after, the Olympians were able to get going with a goal coming from junior mid, McKenna Smith, to extend their lead to two goals. Sophomore forward Lillian Degoosh tallied the next two goals, completing the hat-trick and making the score 5-1.  Part way through the second half, the Bucks were able to score one more goal, which again came from Jordan Alley.  The Olympians’ next and final goal was from junior mid Rose Bohan; this was the last goal scored in the contest, making the final score 6-2. The Olympians go to 5-3 on the season as the Bucks go to 4-4. The Bucks will travel to Craftsbury to face the Chargers on Saturday, October 16th.
