BMU and Oxbow Continue Tradition

Bradford, VT – On Tuesday, September 23rd 2025, the Oxbow Olympians hosted Blue Mountain for their third race of the season. Blue Mountain middle schooler Jason Bulger ran a challenging course consisting of 2700k meters for a total of 1.68 miles. Bulger started strong by taking a large lead against his opponents translating into a 2nd place finish. Bulger ended the race with a time of 12 minutes and 34 seconds.

Blue Mountain senior Lily-Ann Morgan placed 15th with a running time of 35 minutes and 54 seconds. Morgan also ran a very challenging course consisting of 5k meters, which is a total of 3.1 miles. Although she did not make it to the top 3, Morgan kept a positive attitude. Morgan, a dedicated member of the Blue Mountain Cross Country team since her 7th grade year,  is “very excited to see what the future holds” for her senior season.

Callie Medeiros is a Junior at Blue Mountain Union High school who has attended BMU since pre-school and has lived in Vermont for most of her life. During the past 3 years, Callie has played softball for BMU. On top of that, Callie also works at Atkinson Residence and helps the residents live their everyday lives. While not on the field, or at school, Callie can often be found hanging out with friends and reading. She enjoys taking long drives, teaching her little sister how to play softball, and watching her favorite show Dance Moms. This is Callie’s first year being a BNN reporter, and she is very excited for the opportunity.

Lily-Ann Morgan is a senior at Blue Mountain. She works in customer service in the retail industry and enjoys talking to new people and making new connections. This is the first year that Morgan has been a BNN staff member. As a journalist, she hopes to be able to bring light to the community and share wholesome stories. When not in the newsroom, you’ll find Morgan running for the Blue Mountain cross country team. After graduation, Morgan plans on joining the military after high school.
