Bucks Fall Short on Senior Night

Tonight in Wells River, the Blue Mountain Bucks fell to the Twinfield Trojans 6-2 in boys’ varsity soccer. The Trojans struck first with a defensive breakdown from the Bucks, which resulted in a goal early in the first half. Freshman mid Kris Fennimore was able to start things off for the Bucks with a goal, assisted by junior forward Evan Dennis, which tied things up at one a piece. Sophomore mid Cameron Roy was able to notch a goal from long range, putting the Bucks ahead by one. The Trojans were able to tie it back up shortly after with a goal off the foot of #5, Meles Gouge. The final scoring for the half was from the Trojans with one more goal, which upped the score to 3-2. In the second half the Trojans defense looked strong, allowing no goals while the offense added another three. Twinfield’s #5 Meles Gouge had a stellar performance with an impressive four goals. The Trojans jump to 7-2 on the season as the Bucks fall to 5-2. The Bucks travel to Enosburg Falls to play at 4:00 on Monday, October 18th.
