Senior Spotlight: Sydney Gonyaw

Sydney Gonyaw moved to BMU in her freshman year. During her time here she participated in basketball and was a team captain. She was also member of the Student Council. This year, Sydney attended early college at Northern Vermont University and is working two jobs. Her future plans are to transfer to SHHU and to find a job where she can “sit down all day.”

The advice Sydney has for younger students is, “You don’t need to hide any part of yourself. I hid the fact that I was bisexual for 18 years of my life. That is probably my biggest regret. Embrace the parts of yourself that you feel like people will hate because no matter what, that is who you are.”
