Vermont Rifle Deer Season is Upon Us

Kris Fennimore, BNN Staff

Rifle season in Vermont always starts on the second Saturday in November and continues until the last Sunday in November. During this season any hunter with a valid Vermont hunter’s license and a rifle buck tag can go out and harvest a legal buck. In most of Vermont, a legal buck must have more than two points on one side of its antlers (a point is an antler projection of at least one inch measured from base to tip).
