Bucks Tie With Bears

BMU 2- Danville 2

Wells River: Monday night, the Bucks hosted an interdivisional rival, the Danville Bears. Coming down to the wire with the game tied 2-2, the Bucks made one final push, but ultimately, regulation time would expire, and the game would fall into overtime. Both sides put shot after shot on the net, but both goalies stood firm, resulting in a tie game. The game was an intense matchup with the Bucks on the hunt for redemption as they lost game one of the two-game series. BMU Head Coach Parish Eiskamp was happy with his team’s performance in the first half of the game but thought the second half got off to a slow start. As the Bucks have been dealing with low numbers and a lack of energy in the second half of games, they have brought up several 8th graders to help with breaks during the game. Junior Maya Christy led the Bucks scoring early, only 5 minutes into the game; Senior Jordan Alley followed with a goal 33 minutes into the first half. Sloane Morse would help out the Bears by scoring with 22 minutes to go in the first half, and Alice McLane tied the game up by scoring with 31 minutes to go in the half. With both teams locked, putting shot after shot on goal, they headed into a 10-minute overtime where both teams would remain at a standstill until the last whistle with both goalies ending with double-digit saves. Bucks’ goalie Felicity Sulham racked up 18 saves while the Bears’ Leah Klark had 12 saves of her own.
