Wildcats Take Down the Bucks

BMU 2- Hazen 3

WELLS RIVER- Tuesday Night the BMU Bucks hosted the 0-1 Hazen Wildcats; ultimately, the Bucks would fall to the Wildcats 3-2. The Bucks allowed 3 goals in the closing 20 minutes of the second half, with Hazen sophomore, Isabelle Gouin, scoring 2 goals and Hazen freshman, Autumn Dailey, contributing the final blow. A shot from outside the 18 that bounced over the head of BMU goalie, Felicity Sulham. The Bucks came out of the gates ready to go with Jordan Alley scoring two goals early into the first half. Going into the second half, the Bucks’ scoring slowed, and the Wildcats went on the prowl. BMU’s second half woes continued in this game. BMU Head Coach, Parish Eiskamp, shared: “I think we played really well but we couldn’t get a rotation ….these girls are gassed; you have midfielders playing 80 minutes that’s not typical.”

Due to injury, BMU freshman Tori Florentine was ineligible to play; Eiskamp added this about team injuries “I’m going to go out on a limb and say it. I think if we [had] Tori today, [we’ed have] a different outcome.” As Blue Mountain drops to 0-2, BMU team captain Karli Blood states “I believe that our team has so much potential. So far I have been very impressed with how the girls are controlling the ball.” Blood goes on to share that “Although, I’m proud of our growth, we still have many improvements to make, like our communication on the field and winning 50/50 balls.”
