Wells River VT – On Friday night, the 8-11 Bucks played host to the 10-3 Williamstown Blue Devils at the Dr. Harry M. Rowe Gymnasium. The final score would be 57-43 Williamstown on top. The first quarter would start out with BMU struggling both offensively and defensively, not scoring more than eight points and allowing 17. Nine of these points came from behind the three-point line, heading into the second quarter with Williamstown leading 17-8. The second quarter would be the same as the first as the Blue Devils scored 14 points with 12 coming from beyond the arc. The Bucks started making moves offensively with everyone getting involved and scoring 9 points. Heading into the half the Blue Devils kept hold of their lead 31-17.
Coming out of the half Williamstown junior Evan Bailey would go on to make four three pointers in the third. BMU started fighting back, with numerous players chipping in and scoring 12 points in the 3rd frame ending with 51-29 Blue Devils on top. The fourth quarter began with BMU sophomore Jamal Saibou scoring the first two points with a layup and then followed up with a three-point shot. Williamstown subbed out the majority of their starters and played more of their bench which slowed their offense. High scorers would be Evan Bailey with 28 for Williamstown and Jamal Saibou with 12, Kason Blood with 10 points for BMU.
