Bucks Run Around the Paine

WELLS RIVER, VT -On Thursday night the Blue Mountain Bucks welcomed Paine Mountain to the Ron Brown Athletic Field, ultimately ending in a win for the Bucks 11-1.  The Bucks scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning starting the game off with a lead. Paine Mountain answers back scoring one run closing the gap to a two-run game. In the third inning Paine Mountain brought in a new pitcher which BMU jumped on further stretching the gap by scoring six runs. BMU starter Jake Roberts pitched well for the Bucks forcing Paine Mountain to continue to strike out at the bottom of the fourth inning. BMU sophomore Jamal Saibou did his part hitting a double bringing two runs home and advanced to third allowing the Bucks to further spread the gap making it 11-1. The Bucks brought in senior closer Cam Roy to finish the game, Roy struck walked 2 but ultimately retired the side striking out the next three batters securing the win for the Bucks.
