WELLS RIVER – On Saturday, February 12th, the Blue Mountain Bucks defeated the Northfield Marauders on Senior Night, 35-24 in Girls’ Varsity Basketball. It was a very low-scoring game coming out of the first quarter, ending 7-4 in favor of the Bucks. Likewise, not much scoring happened in the second quarter, going into halftime with a score of 15-11. As the 3rd quarter got underway, the Bucks started to catch fire, ending the 3rd quarter with a very comfortable 31- 16 lead. The Bucks were able to stick it out for the win with a final score of 35-24. The Bucks are now 14-4 on the season and will travel to Winooski to play their last regular-season game on Thursday, February 17th. The Marauders fall to 9-7 and will host Richford on Thursday, February 17th.
