Elementary Students Rock the School
The Vermont Congressional Art Competition offers a chance for students to express their art in any form, as long as it is two dimensional. The art pieces must be submitted by April 17, 2022, and the winners will be announced on May 5, 2022.  Every students piece has copyright status as soon as the artwork is submitted, so no one can steal their creative vision. According to artist Haley Wyman, The painting represents high school dress codes. People cant learn to control themselves, so we force people to cover up instead.

The school nurse asks students to be careful, because tick season is here.  There are different kinds of ticks: one of them is a dog tick, which is brown, with different patterns, and it does carry some diseases. Another kind of tick is the deer tick, which carries Lyme Disease that transmits as a bacteria. If a deer tick stays on your body for more than 24 hours, then you should call your doctor to be tested, but make sure you bring the tick with  you. When you have a tick, the best way to remove it is with a piece of tape.  Wrap the tick in the tape. Be sure to watch for any rash or inflammation.

Blue Mountain Student Council members hosted a book fair from April 11th-April 15th. The book fair gives all the students and staff at BMU the opportunity to buy their favorite books, along with many gadgets to play with. Student Council member Kolby Nelson says, Student Council runs the book fair, and by sitting at the registers we get community service hours, and we work to help the kids find their books and what they are looking for.
