The Blue Mountain Bucks were simply too much for the Danville Bears as the mercy rule came into play after just 4 and 1/2 innings.

The Bucks got things started in the first inning with four runs. Blue Mountain tallied another four runs in the second inning and added another three in the third.

Ricky Fennimore earned the win for the Bucks. The lefty hurler allowed only one hit and no runs over four innings, striking out six. Cameron Dennis pitched in relief in the fifth, only allowing a single hit and striking out three.

Meles Gouge started the game for Danville, surrendering four runs on four hits over one inning and striking out one. Tyson May took the loss for Danville, allowing five hits and seven runs over two innings, walking one.

The Blue Mountain Bucks totaled nine hits in the game. Evan Dennis, Ethan Gilding, and Cameron Roy led the way for Blue Mountain, racking up two hits apiece. Roy and Dennis each earned a triple while Gilding and Kason Blood both hit a two-base shot. Notably, the Bucks didn’t commit a single error in the field.

The Bucks remain undefeated (3-0) and will travel to Northfield on Tuesday, to face off against the Marauders.
