Bucks Overcome Blue Devils in Varsity Baseball

WELLS RIVER- Last night in Varsity baseball, the Blue Mountain Bucks hosted the Williamstown Blue Devils, ultimately taking the victory 13-3.

Williamstown struck first with two runs coming from a towering triple scoring one and a pass ball scoring the next. Blue Mountain answered back with a three run first inning. The Devils were able to put one more run across the plate in the third inning. Blue Mountain took the lead for good with four runs in the third inning, as well. Cameron Roy grounded out, scoring one run, and Ricky Fennimore doubled, scoring one run. Fennimore led the Blue Mountain Bucks to victory on the mound. Fennimore went five innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out three. Cameron Dennis threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Jaymeson Locarno took the loss for Williamstown. The hurler lasted five and a third innings, allowing 11 hits and 13 runs while striking out two.

The Blue Mountain Bucks totaled 11 hits. Dennis, Fennimore, and Roy each managed multiple hits for Blue Mountain. Dennis led the Bucks with four hits in four at bats. The BMU team didn’t commit a single error in the field.
