WELLS RIVER- On Tuesday, October 25th, The Blue Mountain Bucks hosted The Sharon Academy Phoenix ultimately winning 4-1. Junior, Karli Blood kicked things off, scoring on a penalty kick which put the Bucks up by one in the first half.  Shortly after, Sharon Academy’s Maddy Mintz evened things up with a goal assisted by Freya Abbey. Offensive numbers were hard to come by in the first half with both teams displaying excellent defense. Sharon’s senior goalkeeper, Lily Welch displayed a solid effort finishing the game with seven saves. Things opened up for the Bucks with Junior, Jordan Alley scoring the go-ahead goal, partway through the second half.  Sophomore Kyra Nelson put in a goal of her own assisted by freshman Lily Roy, putting the Bucks up by two. Jordan Alley gave the Bucks some more insurance, tallying her second goal of the night making it a 4-1 advantage.  This would be the final goal scored in this matchup. This loss will eliminate the Phoenix from playoff participation. On Friday, the Bucks will face the winner of the Arlington vs Hazen matchup.
