WELLS RIVER – On Wednesday January 4th, 2023, the Blue Mountain Girls Basketball team hosted the Danville Bears in a D4 match up and came out with a 54-24 win. The Bucks started hot and led the Bears 15-0 after the first quarter and never looked back. The Bucks would go on to win all four quarters of the game and never gave the Bears an opportunity to inch there way back into the contest.

The Bucks brought the energy from the tip-off and were up for the entirety of the game. Jordan Alley and Felicity Sulham were a force to be reckoned with as they combined for 28 points, having 14 a piece. Kyra Nelson also contributed in a big way, having 8 points of her own. For the Bears, Laci Potter and Lauren Joncus led the way with 10 points each. Junior Captain, Karli Blood gave her overall view on the game. “I was so proud of the effort and energy that the team contributed throughout the whole game. I believe that we won due to our hustle, work ethic, and intensity on defense.” The bucks improve to 5-1 and travel to Williamstown on Friday the 6th for their next game.
