Bucks Roll Past Olympians

BRADFORD- On Friday, January 27th the Blue Mountain Bucks took the ride down the interstate to play the Oxbow Olympians, ultimately winning 64-36. The Bucks came out firing, putting up 19 points in the first quarter while holding the Olympians to three. Oxbow was able to get some offense going in the second quarter scoring 14 points, but the Bucks threw in 23 points making the halftime score 42-17.

Ethan Davis led the Olympians scoring 8 points while Braxton Adams and Ethan Emerson both had 6 a piece. The Bucks saw the charity stripe throughout the game shooting 31 free throws but only making 16, while the Olympians made one of their four attempts. In the 3rd quarter, both teams scored 10 points making it 52-27 going into the final frame. In the 4th, the Bucks outscored the Olympians 12-9 putting Blue Mountain on top with a final score of 64-36. Evan Dennis led the Bucks with 26 points while Hayden Carle put in a career-high 20 points helping the Bucks come out with the win. According to Dennis, “It was a real team effort.  I’m really proud of Hayden Carle’s production today.  I thought that we brought the energy from the opening tip.”

After this loss, the Olympians fall to 1-10 while the Bucks jump to 7-2 and will host a rematch with Oxbow on Monday, January 30th.
