Bucks Outlast The Olympians

WELLS RIVER- On Monday, January 30th the Blue Mountain Bucks hosted the Oxbow Olympians and came out with a 60-24 win. The Bucks Defense held strong from the beginning tip-off, allowing only four first quarter points. The Bucks found themselves up 30-12 after one half of play. Blue Mountain came out firing on all cylinders in the third quarter putting up 21 points, and holding Oxbow to only three in the quarter. The Olympians would play even with the Bucks in the fourth at nine each, making the final score 60-24.

Chase Lund led the Olympians in scoring with seven points while Ethan Davis had five. For the Bucks, Evan Dennis led all scorers with 21 points while Kason Blood and Cedric Schafer combined for 19 points on the night. This would mark the second time the Bucks have bested the Olympians in just a span of 4 days. Kris Fennimore stated, “I’m really happy about how we all played, we kept the intensity up all game and took no plays off”.

After this loss, the Olympians fall to 1-11 while the Bucks improve to 8-2. Both teams will play their next game on Wednesday, February 1st. The Olympians host Craftsbury while the Bucks travel to Richford.
