WELLS RIVER-Wednesday night February 8th the BMU Boys Varsity basketball team takes the win against the Craftsbury Chargers 88 to 35. In the first quarter the Bucks had racked up 28 points and the Chargers only 8. In the second quarter, the Bucks had scored 26 additional points for a commanding lead. It was in the second quarter where fans got to see the play of the game. Evan Dennis stole the ball, went streaking up the court, and wowed the fans with a one-handed jam that shook the gym. The Bucks also had great defense allowing the Chargers only 8 points in the second quarter.  It was more of the same in the second half as the Bucks were able to put 22 points on the board and hold the Chargers to 7 points. In the last quarter, the Bucks scored 12 more points and wrapped up the game with 88 points and the Chargers scored 12 points as well for the quarter and finished with a total of 35 points. Despite the lopsided score, the Chargers were impressive having only five players available for the game.  Many fans were impressed with the Chargers’ amazing sportsmanship, grit, and determination.
