Senior Spotlight: Stephanie Boyce

Kaylee Hillesland, BNN Staff

Stephanie Boyce has been a Blue Mountain student since Kindergarten. Stephanie’s advice for upcoming high schoolers is to “Get involved in as much as you can with extracurricular activities and make as many memories as you can because it will all be over before you know it.”  She took this advice herself, throughout the years she has been a part of hospitality, yearbook, softball, basketball, chorus, and flag twirling. Her favorite year at BMU was eighth grade, she remembers eighth grade fondly because her class “felt like a family” and was so close. One of Stephanie’s favorite memories is getting to play at the Barre Auditorium, or the “AUD”, for the semifinals and winning, even though they had lost by 6 points at the championship, they played well as a team and played their best till the very end.

Outside of school, Stephanie gave most of her free time to sports, but if it wasn’t sports, she was working diligently. She has been a babysitter and worked with her step-father doing interior carpentry, whether it was hanging sheetrock, looking after kids, or working hard in softball or basketball, Stephanie was staying busy. As for her future plans? As of now she has not fully decided, but she is looking into joining a LNA program to start her journey to becoming a midwife.
