Wells River: On Wednesday, October 11th, the Bucks hosted the Oxbow Olympians. Ultimately, the Bucks would come out on top, outscoring the Olympians 1-0. The Bucks were looking to continue their aggressive streak after a 2-2 tie against Danville. Needless to say, the Bucks were hungry for a win. Senior Karli Blood scored the Buck’s only goal 16 minutes into the first half. The rest of the game was a close-fought match, with both teams putting on quite the display of defensive intensity. BMU Head Coach Parish Eiskamp commented, “As a whole, we played a complete game. We were able to transition the ball up the field well, and create opportunities to score. Our defense did a great job denying Oxbow clean looks at the goal. Today was really the type of play we have been searching for all season. I’m proud of the progress this group has made.” Both Oxbow and Blue Mountain are looking forward to playoffs in Division 3 and Division 4, respectively.
