Will Emerson is seen here launching the new drone acquired by BNN on December 8th, 2023. This new tool allows the student-journalist to get overhead shots that simply were not possible before.

The electronic journalism class known as BNN has acquired a new drone. This drone will help us get different shots for our news stories and thereby help tell the story. It will also expand BNN’s tech capabilities. William Emerson is a tech department intern and is also a member of the BNN staff. Emerson says, “The new drone will be a very good addition to BNN.”

This new technology requires a great deal of responsibility and being able to use it correctly. With Emerson having the most experience with drones he is holding a drone training program for all interested BNN Staff.  This program is to teach rules and regulations on what you can and can’t do with the drone and also how to operate and use the drone properly. The entire BNN staff is excited about the possible video and photo shots this new technology will bring.  We are sure that it will boost the quality of the work we are putting out.
