National Honor Society Induction

Thursday Mar 14, 2024 was the night of the induction ceremony for new NHS and NJHS members. The students led the first real candle lighting ceremony at BMU in many years. The members gave speeches about the pillars of NHS: scholarship, service, leadership, and character. The NHS members and inductee recited the pledge before congratulating the new member, Kennedy Perrigo, on her accomplishment. NJHS then recited their pledge and lit the candles of new members: Jacob Roberts, Miranda Rectenwald, Madison Frigon, Thomas Gardner, Lance Perrigo, Addison Ricker, and Onyx Scott.

The seniors were then awarded with their stoles by junior members of the organization. Abigail Emerson, Jennie Fisher, Shannon Florentine, Ian Fraser, Felicity Sulham, and Karli Blood, who was unable to attend, will wear the stoles at their graduation. The members then left the stage before returning to join their families to celebrate and eat food provided by BMU’s hospitality club.
