The Bucks Out Run The Wolves

Morristown, Vt – On Tuesday night, the Peoples Academy Wolves played host to the Blue Mountain Bucks. The Bucks came out on top, winning the game 14-4. Kris Fennimore, junior for BMU was on the bump; Fennimore pitched a complete game allowing four hits, four walks and struck out eight. In reflection on his pitching effort, Fennimore adds, “My guys came out on the offensive and defensive end supporting me and getting 14 runs to end the game after five innings. Overall it was a great win for the team.” Peoples Academy chose to pitch by committee sending four different pitchers to face the Bucks’ lineup.

The Bucks came out hot with the bats putting up three runs in the first. The Wolves responded with a two run homer from David Baxter in the bottom of the frame, but those were the last earned runs allowed. Both teams went scoreless in the second but then the Bucks scored two In the third, four in the fourth, and five in the fifth inning. The other two runs came in the bottom of the fifth inning from Peoples Academy. Notable players offensively from Blue Mountain include Kris Fennimore 3-4, Brody Kingsbury 2-2 two 2B, Hayden Carle 2-4. Peoples Academy falls to 3-7 on the season and will face Paine Mountain on May 21st. The Bucks improve to 9-1 and will face Richford on Friday, May 17th.
