MaKayla McNerney, BNN Staff

MaKayla McNerney is a senior at BMU and this is her first year on the BNN  staff.  MaKayla enjoys spending time with her family and is extremely interested in all kinds of makeup. After high school, MaKayla would like to go to a cosmetology school for beauty and skincare treatments.  MaKayla has one dog, two cats, and a guinea pig named Gwen Stefani. MaKayla is a very kind and outgoing person who really tries to love everyone she's around. MaKayla also has a little sister who is MaKayla's number one person in her life. Overall, she is just an amazing person.

The Vermont Congressional Art Competition offers a chance for students to express their art in any form, as long as it is two dimensional. The art pieces must be submitted by April 17, 2022, and the winners will be announced on May 5, 2022.  Every students piece has copyright status as soon as the artwork is submitted, so no one can steal their creative vision. According to artist Haley Wyman, The painting represents high school dress codes. People cant learn to control themselves, so we force people to cover up instead.

2/16/22, Nature Trail at BMU: On a cold but beautiful afternoon, the sun was positioned perfectly for picture taking. The Outdoor Literature class took photos for their magazine covers. According to Senior Makayla McNerney, All surroundings were absolutely breathtaking. Even though it was cold, the sun felt like sitting in front of a wood stove.
