Micheal Scruton has been attending Blue Mountain Union since first grade. Micheal started playing basketball and soccer in his fourth-grade year and ended sports in his eighth-grade year. After leaving for a year and a half due to COVID-19, Scruton returned in his junior year and enrolled in the heavy equipment program through the Riverbend Career and Technical Center. He participated in Riverbend both his junior year and senior year. Micheal’s advice for the younger students is to “Stay active, have fun with everything you do.” Scruton would like to be remembered for his hard work ethic. After high school, Michael plans to attend college for heavy equipment at the University of Northwestern Ohio.
