Evan Farquharson will be a 2026 graduate of Blue Mountain Union, and he has attended here since pre-school. Evan, an active member of the Student Council since his sophomore year, served as Treasurer for 2 years and as Vice President for 1 year. Evan has also been a Class Officer for all four years of high school, where he was Treasurer for three years and Vice President for one year. Evan played basketball and soccer since he was four, and continued through varsity for both sports. He joined the Athletic Leadership Council in his junior year and is still serving as an active member. The activity he especially enjoys is soccer because it has been the most influential sport/activity he’s participated in while at BMU. His favorite high school memory is when the baseball and softball teams won the championship on the same day, and he had the opportunity to attend both games. Outside of school, Evan enjoys hanging out with friends and watching different TV shows. After high school, Evan plans to attend a 4-year college, majoring in History Education. In 10 years, he sees himself as a history teacher at a high school, and still hanging out with friends after work. The thing Evan will miss the most about school is the friendships he made from the tight-knit community within BMU. The advice Evan would give underclassmen is to “make quality friendships and not to let themselves fall behind.”
