Kiara Cushing will be a 2026 graduate of Blue Mountain Union School and has attended here since kindergarten. Kiara has been involved in the student council for 4 years, hospitality club for 5 years, the yearbook committee just this year, and she was a class officer freshman and senior year. The activity she especially enjoys is going swimming at the beach because she loves going to new places and enjoying the sun. Outside of school, Kiara works in the produce department at Hannaford, sleeps, and enjoys hanging out with her boyfriend and sisters. The three words that best describe her are: humble, sarcastic, and introverted. After high school, Kiara plans to attend college online, studying forensic investigation and earn her bachelor’s degree while working full-time at Hannaford. After college, she hopes to move to a bigger city where her college degree will be in more demand. In 10 years, Kiara sees herself in an area like South Carolina with lots of sun, living in a rural area, hopefully with a couple of pets, and working in forensics in a big city. Three things on her bucket list are: to visit Switzerland, move south with more sun, and learn how to play the piano. If there was one way she could be remembered at BMU, it would be as someone who was usually quiet but was always there to care and listen. The advice Kiara would give underclassmen is do not procrastinate and stress yourself out, be invested in the things that you love, and always remember to advocate for the things that you need physically and mentally.
